How to Shop


To shop at The Knitting Hut on-line shop you can either click on 'online shop' or select from one of the four buttons at the bottom of the page.


Along the left-hand edge of the screen you will be given a choice of products to view. Select your chosen range and you will then be shown a summary of all the products in the selected range, including an image of the product and a short description.


Click on either the image or the name of the product and you will be taken to a new page showing more information and a choice of colours, etc.


Using the pull down menu, select (e.g. which colour you would like) and click 'add to basket'.


When you have added all the items you wish to purchase to your basket, double check your selections and edit the quantity required and then click on 'proceed to checkout'


If you DO have a Pay Pal account you will be asked for your email address and password. Then follow the onscreen instructions to continue with payment.


If you DO NOT have a Pay Pal account, click on the button for non Pay Pal account holders. You will now have to enter your name and address and contact information; then follow the onscreen instructions to continue with payment.


In the event of us having a query, it is extremely useful, that you include your contact number, Use a mobile for maximum privacy.

Product Descriptions

Please note that although we work very hard to ensure colour representation is accurate on our website, however there may be a slight variance depending on how your monitor is set up.


Items out of stock

We regularly update our website to ensue we only show items in stock, however, if an item you have ordered is out of stock we will advise you within one working day by email or telephone and also tell you when the item will be in stock. You can then decide if you want to put the item on back-order or cancel your order.


Payment Information

The Knitting Hut uses Paypal to manage payments so you can be assured that payments are secure. Paypal will also calculate currency changes if you are not visiting us from the UK. If you are visiting us from outside the EU, there will be no charge for VAT. Your order will be accepted on receipt of payment and a confirmation email will be sent to you detailing the dispatch date.


Sending your order

UK orders over £25 in value will be sent via Royal Mail Second Class post.  Postage cost is dependent on the total order value (see below). All orders chosen to be sent by Recorded Delivery to ensure safe receipt will be sent by First Class Post.  International orders will also be dispatched by Airmail to ensure they reach you as quickly as possible.

Postage costs are as follows:


UK orders  (up to £25 in value) - First Class - £2.95

UK orders (up to £25 in value) - Second Class - £2.50          

UK orders (up to £25 in value) - Recorded Delivery (First Class) - £3.95

European Orders - £4.95

Rest of the world - Zone 1 - £5.95

Rest of the world - Zone 2


Orders over £20.00 in value qualify for FREE POSTAGE

We always aim to dispatch your order on the working day following receipt of your order, although occasionally this may not be possible. If you are concerned about your order, please contact us at any time.

Note:  During postage free offers, all UK orders will be sent by second class post.  We are unable to offer free postage on Overseas orders.


Returns

You have the right to cancel your order within 7 days of receipt. You must contact us in writing or email to inform us and return the goods to us in the original packaging and in the condition they were supplied within 10 days of receipt, together with a copy or your original invoice. You are responsible for return postage costs. Plesae package your items carefully to avoid damage and return by Recorded Delivery as proof of postage is not proof of receipt.


We will then issue a refund in the same form of payment used for purchase within 30 days following receipt of the goods. Original postage costs will not be refunded. If a package as returned to us as undeliverable or a delivery is refused, original postage costs will not be refunded. All undeliverable or refused orders will be treated as a customer return and our Returns Policy will apply.


Damaged Items

If part or all your order is damaged in transit, you must notify us in writing or by email within 7 days of receipt and we will re-send your order on receipt of the damaged goods at no extra cost to you. Please include a description of the damage together with a copy of the original invoice.


Exchanges

If you need to exchange any item of your order you must notify us within 7 days of receipt and return the goods to us, together with a cheque/postal order for £3 to cover costs incurred by us.
